Transparency is foundation of accountability, and accountability the foundation of democracy, and now the media, who are supposed to monitor this sort of thing is hiding behind closed doors - our democracy is in real trouble.

As a federal party with candidates in Every riding in the country, and with 6.8% of the popular vote in the last election, the Green Party should definitely be included in the debate. Just because they don't have a seat doesn't mean they're not significant, that's just a result of an outdated electoral system.

I will vote for the Green Party specifically BECAUSE the other parties are not allowing her to be part of the debate. Obviously none of the other parties believe in democracy.

By all means allow her to participate, but why she wants to is beyond me , with the present format they all appear foolish. trying to answer complex questions with a 30 second or less sound byte

As a nurse who works in geriatric mental health I fully support your responsible and humane platform. The powerful grip that corporations have on the lives of Canadian citizens must be wrestled away and true democracy should be given back to the people of Canada where it belongs. I believe Elizabeth May and the Green Party are the people who can accomplish this !

Firstly, given the number of votes the Greens acquired in the last election; May should be a part of the debate. Secondly, there should be a legislated, not media policy about who gets to debate. Finally, this decision shouldn't be last minute.
